Savant are proud supporters of Action for Children, who recently asked some of their supporters what their #OneWishForChildhood was. 'Love', 'dance', 'happiness' and 'education' are some of their wishes, but these are not always a reality for many vulnerable children in the UK.

It's been over 12 months since the first lockdown began and vulnerable children in the UK are at breaking point. There are children going without proper meals, without warm clothes.

Action for Children have provided food and essentials to around 20,000 children since lockdown began and 99% of their services stayed open. But they will need help to continue being a vital lifeline for many communities. Together we can stop poverty scarring a generation of children.

 
 
 
Standards of Business Conduct

We conduct business according to rigorous ethical, professional and legal standards and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Employment Agencies & Business Regulations 2003, (“The Regulations”) which governs and oversees the activities of all recruitment companies within the UK. The Regulations are monitored and enforced by the Employment Agency Standards Inspectorate, with potential prosecutions and prohibitions for agencies that breach the Regulations.

We enthusiastically encourage all our recruitment staff to become individual members of the REC, which requires members to maintain minimum standards of Professional Conduct.

Our impact on the environment

Our objective is to reduce our impact on the environment, which includes factors that contribute to climate change, via a commitment to continual improvement and to give maximum co-operation in complying with environmental legislation and regulations.

All branch locations have been supplied with recycling facilities and are repeatedly encouraged to use energy saving light bulbs. We also insist that all IT equipment is switched off when not in use to prevent the unnecessary and needless waste of energy.

Our impact on communities

We appreciate that our business undertakings have varying direct and indirect effects on the societies in which we operate. We endeavor to administer all activities in a correct and responsible manner and believe that appropriate performance mirrors business success.

We continually review, update and improve our social responsibility programme and encourage our business partners to apply corporate social responsibilities applicable and fitting to their business.

We inspire our staff to participate in local activities and support charitable events.

We are proud to support Byte Nite and Action for Children. We take part in regular fund raising activities and believe that it is important to give back to the community.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Savrec Ltd (Trading as: Savant Recruitment) recognises that the health and safety of employees and others who may be affected by the organisation's operations, is of primary importance in the successful conduct of its business.

It is the policy of Savrec Ltd (Trading as: Savant Recruitment) that the company will, so far as reasonably practicable, ensure:
 

  • The provision of adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities and in compliance with the provisions of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974;
  • All office equipment is provided and maintained in a safe condition and without risk to health and that systems of work which are safe and without risk to health are established and followed.
  • Arrangements are made and complied with for the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles for use at work.
  • Employees are provided with such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to secure their safety and health at work and the safety of others that may be affected by their actions.
  • Employees’ place of work is safe and provided with adequate means of access and egress; and the working environment is safe and without risks to health and that adequate arrangements are made for their welfare whilst at work.
  • Regular fire drills are conducted by the premises management and all fire equipment is supplied and maintained at all times; and
  • Employees are consulted regarding health, safety and welfare matters and are encouraged to bring any concerns to the attention of the Savrec Ltd (Trading as: Savant Recruitment) management team.
