Private Client Tax Director

An opportunity for an ambitious Tax Director has opened up at one of the UK's leading and largest accountancy practices.

They will be responsible for the management of a large number of non-dom and high net worth private clients, including all compliance matters. The individual will also have the gravitas to be comfortable advising these clients in relation to a range of taxes.



Main Responsibilities


Run a portfolio of between 40 and 60 of the firm's most important private tax clients


Work with partners and directors on ad hoc consultancy projects.


Manage, support, and mentor staff.


Work with the senior tax partner to ensure high-quality ITR compliance is delivered on time for all clients.


Provide technical support to the team in relation to complex matters (including review of work where needed).



Person requirements


CTA and either ACA/ACCA qualified


Can demonstrate technical tax skills alongside commercial awareness with the ability to balance the two.


Experience of planning and advisory work, ideally including share schemes, EIS, property, trusts and estates, residence and domicile.


Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels, both within and outside the firm including enquiries and negotiations with HMRC
