Salary: £50000.00 - £58000.00 per annum + benefit package

The successful candidate will have an appetite for improving processes and delivering accurate, timely and high-quality information to the CFO and wider management team in a robust control environment.

• Review and maintenance of group accounting policies and procedures

• Review and complete month end reconciliations across group and drive convergence to best in class

• Review & approval of bank payments in online banking system, maintaining banking controls document and be point of contact with bankers

• Working with the CFO to identify and explain any significant variances or anomalies to prior periods and forecasts

• Audit process

• First point of contact to external providers of accounting services, including UK company & consolidated audit process

• Facilitate overseas subsidiary audit, ensure all adjustments are reflected in the consolidated financial statements.

• Assist in Cashflow and revenue/billing forecasting and analysis
  
  

Entity level (UK)

• Daily bank reconciliation overview (and preparation as team is built)

• Weekly review of purchase ledger & sales ledger reconciliations

• Maintaining Fixed Asset registers, including review of capitalisation policy

• VAT returns and EU sales list & ensuring VAT POA are scheduled

• Oversee employee expense reimbursement procedures, including driving of good behaviours internally and effective reporting from the system

• [Manage/oversee payrolls] - subject to HR involvement

• Develop relationships with key customer contacts and manage/[or coordinate] credit control processes to ensure prompt payment of invoices

General:

• Provide team updates on accounting processes/managing risk and automation projects

• Involvement in recruitment process for finance staff

• Sharing Technical information & updates with the finance department, ensuring colleagues are aware of statutory changes

• Build accounting literacy across the finance and the wider business

Skills:

To run the accounting process, driving a continuous programme of system and process enhancements whilst supporting all areas of the business.
