My client is a large, international entity with a head office in Reading who are looking to recruit a qualified accountant into this Financial Reporting Manager role. As a well established business, they are looking to continue their success through both organic growth and acquisition. With a Head Office in North America and the various entities across Europe, this is a complex accounting environment with a very experienced accounting team in place, that will provide a challenging but rewarding role.

As the Financial Reporting Manager you will be responsible for all statutory reporting for EMEA, providing technical accounting advice and guidance to the various stakeholders as well as managing the relationship with the external audit providers. You will operate in a group structure and lead the finances across the region, heading-up projects associated with process improvement and systems upgrades and the implementation of any new procedures. This will include the requirement to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations. Building and maintaining relationships with the various key stakeholders will be essential.

The successful candidate will be a technically-strong, qualified accountant. A background in Practice would be beneficial but not essential. You will have worked in a complex, international accounting environment and ideally have a strong understanding of FRS102. Exposure to US GAAP would be useful but not essential. Moreover, you will possess the ability to stay abreast of accounting standards, communicate with various senior managers across a diverse organization and lead the reporting that will be essential to the success of the accounts team.
