Group Accountant

My client is a large international telecoms company with a head office in Newbury. They have enjoyed a good deal of success and are looking to further grow their team.


The role is focused on the Financial Accounting function with a particular strategy of enabling the team to best support future growth, both organic and through acquisition. You will report to the Group Financial Controller, you will support the various entities with financial reporting matters, preparation of year end accounts, consolidation of management reports, budgets and forecasts as well as manage the relationship with external advisors including external auditors. You will play a key role in the integration of acquired entities, support process and system improvements and be the main point of contact for all matters associated with statutory reporting standards.


You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong statutory reporting knowledge. You will have worked in a complex, multi-entity organisation. The role has a strong focus on international entities and as such communication, together with the ability to establish and develop strong relationships, will be key. This organsiation is at an exciting stage of its development, with continued ambition to further develop. As such, you will play a key part in its continued success.

 

Skills:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP/IFRS/FRS102) and exposure to larger, multi-entity structures.
