My client, based near Reading, is growing organically as well as through acquisition and this newly created FC role will support their continued success and further strengthen the finance team.

The role will work extensively with both external and internal stakeholders and will touch on all aspects of the finance function. Duties will include:

• Working alongside the finance and operations teams to ensure business objectives and strategy are designed and delivered.


• Support the finance teams in production of the monthly management accounts


• Working closely with the Group Financial Controller during the audit process.


• Liaison with external auditors and preparation of audit files.


• Ensure adequate balance sheet controls and oversee periodic balance sheet reviews.


• Various projects associated with systems improvement, acquisitions and process development

You will be a qualified accountant and have worked in a busy, high volume environment. You will have strong technical accounting skills and have been involved in reviewing balance sheets and analysing complex accounts. You will have strong communications skills and be able to work with non-finance managers in explaining finance issues and the impact of commercial decisions.
