Our client, a well known media technology business, seeks an Interim Senior Financial Reporting Analyst for a 6-12 month contract.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for the creation of the monthly reporting for various trading entities and the production of statutory financial statements for a number of the Group's legal entities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Produce the month end management account actuals (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow) for the trading and holding companies utilizing the Cognos reporting system
- Manage all intercompany postings and reconciliations
- Produce the monthly corporation tax postings and annual tax packs
- Produce the quarterly VAT returns for review by the Head of Tax and Financial Controller
- Manage the IFRS16 entries for the business and associated reconciliations, directing the offshore accounting team to make the relevant postings
- Manage the quarterly IAS19 defined benefit pension revaluation adjustments
- Be a key contributor to the year end audit process, managing requests and testing for the above areas
- Preparation of statutory financial statements for the standalone trading and holding companies
- Advise on and implement process improvements wherever possible
Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Qualified accountant ACA or ACCA, ideally practice trained, with post qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards - IFRS15 and IFRS16
- Strong time and project management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a busy environment
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- Available on less than 3 weeks notice
