Finance Business Partner

I'm currently recruiting for a PE backed technology company based in London who are looking to double in size over the next 3 years by investing into the commercial side of the business as well as generating new products.



You'll be working as a Finance Business Partner and will be responsible for supporting the Head of FP&A and various key stakeholders in tech and product development by providing data and analysis to support investment in new products. Your role will support planning and decision making by analysing and reporting on a variety of KPIs as well as providing insightful commercial analysis to support strategic investment and return.



Your main responsibilities will include;



  • Finance business partner for the tech and product teams

  • Focused around tech and product investment, the business partner will be responsible for monthly performance and variance reporting, insight analysis and evaluating the ROI of investment decisions, providing support and challenge for business cases and budgeting

  • Challenge and support investment in our strategic growth initiatives, ensuring understanding and control of spend, articulation of business outcomes and clear ROI

  • Provide insight into key business drivers and strategic projects to drive strategic growth

  • Part of a small team of business partners to support and challenge key cost functions

  • Work with Commercial partner team as needed to develop business cases and plans

  • Assist to define and develop our ongoing and growing business partnering needs


  • Provide key input for the corporate annual budgeting & reforecasting cycles



  • Maintain the 3-year strategic financial plan for tech and product areas, with clear communication and shareholder management

  • Develop and deliver appropriate regular reporting, performance analysis & insight

  • Support the delivery of high quality Board presentations in relation to monthly results, budgets and other transformation and growth projects as needed

  • Drive development and reporting of KPIS to evaluate and articulate progress across the transformation programme, and in the delivery of the strategic plan


Ideally you'll be a fully qualified accountant with 2-5 years of PQE although other experience will be considered. You'll need to have worked as a Finance Business Partner to new product development or have good experience supporting strategic investments. You'll need to have experience of working with advanced Excel models and working knowledge of SQL and Power BI or Tableau.



You'll be paid £65,000-£75,000 depending on experience and will work a 37.5 hour week on a hybrid working pattern split between the London office and home. If this role is of interest to you, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
