Our client, a household name, is looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for its Group finance function.
The Group Financial Accountant role plays a pivotal role in supporting the Group Reporting Manager with the production of our external financial reporting. The principal responsibilities include preparing general month-end financial accounting journals and balance sheet reconciliations, the preparation of all statutory and group management accounts and supporting external advisors with corporation tax returns and statutory audits.

In addition, you will work closely with the wider finance team to ensure that figures are correct at all key reporting periods. The role is suitable for either a newly qualified Chartered accountant, possibly making their first move from practice or perhaps someone in industry seeking a new and interesting opportunity.

Skills / experience / attributes:

• Qualified accountant, ideally practice trained - ACA or CA preferred, although CIMA and ACCA candidates will be considered.


• Experience in a financial accounting or reporting role either within practice or a multi-site commercial organisation


• Strong technical accounting skills


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• A high level of competence in Microsoft Excel is a prerequisite and literacy in financial systems and reporting tools is vital.
