Finance Manager (EMEA) for a Global Law firm based in London.



Your next role:


The role is primarily focused on client profitability. You'll be working as a Finance Manager, business partnering the EMEA region, liaising with Senior Finance Managers (UK) as well as the FP&A & operational teams. The role is both strategic and hands on, driving the planning and day-to-day delivery of the Firm's EMEA finance service. There are operational teams in place, so some of the below duties will be looked at from an advisory/escalations perspective.


Duties include;



  • Manage the daily activities of financial accounting and month end activities which includes the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, disbursement payments, credit card and merchant facilities, employee claims and credit control.

  • Ensure the cash flow process is effectively managed by forecasting cash flow, identifying pinch points, being aware of large outstanding bills and client payment time frames to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet cash requirements.

  • Manage the banking facilities including bank liaison, facility management, international currency transactions, daily banking transactions, reconciliation, leasing and finance facilities and administration of electronic banking site.

  • Ensure compliance with financial global policies and maintain good internal control systems and operational processes for audit review and ISO 9001 accreditation.

  • Manage the year-end audit and reviews of the relevant countries. Communicate with external accountants and auditors in order to comply with local statutory, regulatory and professional requirements and manage the process of regulatory and financial end of year audits.


To succeed:


You will have previous experience in an international law firm/professional services environment although other experience will be considered. You'll also need to be advanced in Excel, have experience in a multi-currency/EMEA environment, and in FP&A or Finance Manager positions.
