My client is a successful PE-backed SME in the construction sector based near Andover. They are looking to recruit a qualified accountant into this Financial Controller/Head of Finance role.

The organisation has enjoyed significant growth and has in recent years acquired a number of separate entities that have further developed their product range. The finance team has grown along with the company and they are currently embarking on a restructure to allow them to support future operations as they become more complex and demanding.

The Head of Finance/Financial Controller will manage a team of c8 and be responsible for the end-to-end finance processes and procedures. You will ensure that the month-end runs smoothly and all deadlines are achieved. You will produce and present the management accounts, support the wider business by providing insightful commentary and analysis and be the main point of contact for external audits. Duties include:

• Review and completion of monthly management reporting packs


• Complete Statutory Financial Statements


• Corporation Tax computation and return


• Companies House filings


• Manage the team, including regular reviews and assessments


• Process improvements including systems upgrades and implementations

You will be a qualified accountant and enjoy the hands-on approach associated with a fast moving SME. You will be comfortable managing a team and helping to develop processes and procedures. This is an excellent role that will allow you to make a contribution to the wider organisation.
