Finance Business Partner - 18 month Fixed Term Contract - Reading with hybrid working

Savant is supporting a leading utilities business with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner role on an 18 month Fixed Term Contract basis.

This is a great opportunity to join the organisation's Finance Leadership Team and have an immediate impact on business performance and the team ways of working. You'll gain exposure and experience across a broad range of stakeholders , including exec level, and critical business performance areas.

This is a 12- 18 month Fixed Term Contract for a Senior finance leader responsible for driving business and financial performance through actively influencing senior stakeholders and the effective application of insightful analytics.

What you will be doing?

You will be responsible for completeness and accuracy of financial judgements in line with Financial Control policies and operating requirements.

Responsibilities include -

• Developing a deep understanding of the cost drivers, risks, opportunities and levers across Retail and Digital cost bases to drive improvements in operational and financial performance.


• Developing performance reporting and forecasting based around the critical KPIs that drive financial outcomes.


• Building strong, influential relationships with senior management teams to support the achievement of shared business performance objectives.


• Being a critical adviser to relevant accountable leaders on financially important operational matters including financial target setting.


• Collaborating with FP&A to align on operational KPIs and insight, ensuring insightful value add performance reporting at all levels of the organisation.


• Being a key contributor and adviser to business leaders on significant business change and the resultant financial consequences.


• Leadership accountability for creating an engaging and positive working environment in collaboration with the wider Finance Leadership team, proactively identifying and developing talent.

Skills/Experience

• A Qualified Accountant with excellent experience working as a Finance Business Partner


• Previous experience to/understanding of retail billing and collection.


• Self starting, driven by the desire to improve processes and outcomes.


• First class interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business


• Strong influencer with the experience of building key stakeholder relationships.
