Audit Assistant Manager job for a multi-site top 40 accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Your new role

You'll be working as an Audit Assistant Manager and will be responsible for assisting in training juniors and apprentices as well as managing your own SME portfolio.

Your duties will include:

• Managing a portfolio of audit and accountancy clients and collaborating with Audit and Business Advisory partners;


• Interacting with other managers and reporting directly to the Audit and Business Advisory Partners;


• Overseeing audit and non-audit clients, including planning, supervision and review of their audit and accounting processes;


• Collaborating with the corporate business tax department in handling the preparation and review of their audit and accounting processes;


• Supervising the Audit Team;


• Billing clients, monitoring actual costs against budgets and reporting variance to partners.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll ideally be a part or fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA), as well as proficiency in using software packages including CCH Accounts Production, CCH ProAudit, Alphatax, MS Office, Sage 50, Quickbooks and Xero. Familiarity with cloud-based applications would be an advantage.
