We have a financial accounting position available with an SME business we know very well having placed the financial controller with them in the past. This is a newly created position which demonstrates how well the business is growing both in the UK and overseas.

Working with a dynamic technology business who require just 1 day per week in the office. This role absolutely requires someone who has significant IFRS and revenue recognition experience but is equally hands on and is happy to tackle a broad finance role. With an existing team of 5 in finance you will be working very closely with the financial controller in tackling the following responsibilities;

• Preparing month end journals and financial reports in line with IFRS 15


• Responsible for revenue recognition including deferred income


• Balance sheet reconciliations for all key accounts


• Building key relationships in the UK, US and AsiaPac


• Take responsibility for fixed assets, accruals and prepayments


• Key contact for year end audit


• Providing variance analysis to leadership team


• Intercompany reconciliations and recharges

The ideal applicant will have significant experience in the above but our client will happily consider qualified or qualified by experience.

Skills:

Strong financial accounting experience, ideally within an SME environment. Must have revenue recognition experience and be familiar with IFRS.
