Management Accountant / Group Accountant | Centre London / Hybrid | PE backed business | £45-55,000
You'll be working for an ambitious, well established, private equity backed company based in Central London who have grown successfully over the last 5 years through acquisition and increasing their market share and are looking to continue to grow over the next 3-5 years.
The role will help support the next stage of the businesses development and provides an exciting opportunity to drive and implement change, and help build a platform of improved process and efficiency as the group continues to grow both organically and through extensive acquisition. This role is within a small, busy Head Office team where demands vary from day to day. You'll be responsible for:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations for the Head Office entities, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow Statement and KPIs * Liaising with business unit managers to review relevant P&L lines
- Maintenance of intercompany loan schedules, engaging with global finance teams to ensure accuracy of reconciliations
- Weekly consolidation and reporting of group cash
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly investor, lender and rating agency reporting.
- Assistance with Head Office budgeting and forecasting
- Ownership of Head Office recharge function
- Ownership of fixed asset register
- Preparation of UK holding company subsidiary accounts in accordance with FRS 101 Supporting the Head Office corporation tax team, including assistance in preparation of UK corporation tax returns and annual update of Transfer Pricing (management fees, intercompany debt) calculations
- Key point of contact for external auditors to ensure any issues are resolved on a timely basis and year end reporting deadlines are achieved
- Supporting the accounts payable function
- Support further reporting enhancement projects as required
- Ensure open communication between Head Office and local finance teams to enable smooth month end and annual reporting, and timely resolution of issues
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience working in a finance function of a complex organisation
- Strong Excel skills
- Capability to understand accounting systems.
