Financial Accountant role for this Global Professional Services Consultancy with an office based in Central London paying £50-60,000 + benefits.



The role:


The Financial Accountant is responsible for all aspects related to statutory accounting and compliance, taking ownership of the statutory audit process and preparation of financial statements for the group, managing requirements related to company registrations in Europe and supporting the US tax team on various aspects of tax compliance.



  • Managing year end external statutory audit, including liaison with the auditors to agree to a suitable timetable, coordinating audit requests with various stakeholders across the business

  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements, including cash flows, for the UK and Subsidiaries

  • Monthly UK GAAP preparation with variance analysis

  • Managing requirements related to company registrations in Europe.

  • Oversee any audits or other compliance matters related to registrations in Europe.

  • Work with local advisors to ensure the filing of various returns as required.

  • Support the US tax team on various aspects of tax compliance.

  • Coordinate requests for statutory and ad hoc payments (PAYE, corporation tax, etc.)

  • Conduct ad hoc analysis when required.

  • Provide ad hoc support to the Finance and Accounting Manager as required.

  • Ensure Financial Accountant processes are documented and reviewed regularly.

  • Identify and implement process improvements.



What you'll need to succeed



  • Recently Qualified (or Part Qualified) ACCA / CIMA

  • Previous experience of working with accounting systems

  • Competency in MS Office, specifically Excel

  • Proven experience of working in a similar finance role, including preparing consolidated Group financials and financials for international subsidiaries.A practice background will also be considered.

  • Must be a team player, willing to step into the wider team roles when required.

  • Analytic with strong academic background

  • Structured and organised in their approach.

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
