Financial and Tax Assistant Accountant

Salary: £30000.00 - £35000.00 per annum + Hybrid, Pension, 25 days

I'm working with a well-established business undergoing significant growth. They're now looking to appoint a Financial & Tax Assistant Accountant to support their Group Finance team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an AAT-qualified or ACCA part-qualified accountant with early experience in audit, tax or group reporting to gain exposure in a PE-backed, multi-entity environment. The role offers hybrid working.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist with preparation of annual statutory accounts

  • Support external audit and year-end reporting

  • Prepare consolidation journals and contribute to balance sheet & cash flow reporting

  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns and manage related HMRC correspondence

  • Support preparation of corporation tax disclosures and year-end tax packs

  • Assist with intercompany recharges, transfer pricing, and CT61 submissions



What We're Looking For:



  • AAT qualified or ACCA part-qualified

  • 1-2 years' experience in audit, tax, or group reporting (practice or industry)

  • Exposure to corporation tax and VAT would be beneficial

  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
