Interim Management Accountant - 6-Month Contract - Hybrid Working - Camberley

Savant are proud to be supporting a key client with the recruitment of an Interim Management Accountant for an initial 6-month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, fast-paced business where you'll play a vital role within the finance team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the management accounting function.

About the Role

As Interim Management Accountant, you will take ownership of delivering a high-quality management accounting service, maintaining the General Ledger, and producing accurate financial information in line with internal deadlines. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-focused finance professional who enjoys improving processes and supporting wider business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce timely and accurate management information in line with Group accounting policies.


• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation postings.


• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting discrepancies or issues.


• Complete bank postings and reconcile bank accounts.


• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting audit requirements.


• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.


• Complete statutory returns for the Office for National Statistics.


• Provide cover for other team members when required.


• Carry out any other duties aligned with the scope and responsibilities of the role.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• ACCA or CIMA part-qualified


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to plan, prioritise, and communicate effectively at all levels


• Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Sumifs)


• High attention to detail with an ability to maintain a broad business perspective


• Proactive approach and strong team ethic


• Eagerness to learn, develop, and improve processes


• Experience producing Management Accounts to Trial Balance


• Strong analytical skills

Desirable:

• Experience with Access Dimensions or Microsoft Dynamics 365


• Exposure to multi-site environments with high data volumes and cost centre structures


• Knowledge of divisional, regional, or branch accounting


• Understanding of the property market or associated services
