The Opportunity

A leading telecommunications business is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Manager to play a key role in the development, enhancement and delivery of its enterprise-wide risk management framework.

This is an exciting opportunity for a risk professional who enjoys operating at the heart of a complex, fast-paced organisation, partnering with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices, improve decision-making and provide meaningful insight into strategic and operational risks.

Working within a highly visible Group Risk function, you will help shape the organisation's risk culture, support the ongoing evolution of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), and provide a comprehensive view of risk exposure across the business.

The Opportunity

A leading telecommunications firm seeks an Enterprise Risk Manager to develop and deliver its ERM framework. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you will enhance risk practices, provide strategic insights, and evolve the risk culture within a visible Group Risk function.

The Role

You will embed risk management into operational activity and decision-making. Key responsibilities:

• Enhance the ERM framework and processes


• Drive stakeholder engagement and risk maturity


• Facilitate risk identification, mitigation, and monitoring


• Maintain executive and board-level risk reporting


• Analyse principal and emerging risks


• Produce deep dives, thematic reviews, and management papers


• Improve risk governance and internal/external audit support


• Manage risk tools, analytics, and KPIs

About You

Experienced ERM professional from a large, complex commercial background. Requirements:

• Proven corporate ERM experience


• Strong framework, governance, and reporting knowledge


• Experience influencing senior executive and board audiences


• Excellent communication and analytical skills


• Professional qualifications (IRM or equivalent)

Preferred Background

Ideal sectors include Telecommunications, Tech, Utilities, Infrastructure, Energy, Media, or large-scale corporate environments. We require genuine commercial ERM expertise; candidates with experience limited to narrow financial services risk disciplines are unlikely to be suitable.
