A Cloud Engineer/Consultant, responsible for overseeing a company’s cloud computing strategy.
Cloud adoption plans, cloud infrastructure design, application design, CI/CD, and cloud management and monitoring and overseeing the overall cloud architecture and deployment in cloud environments.
Working with private & public sector clients in a large-scale enterprise environment, delivering effective solutions for businesses saving millions of pounds annually.
Certifications in ITIL v3 and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
Most recent experience includes:
Moving the company's infrastructure to fully cross cloud supported environments in AWS, GCP & Azure
DevOps, Configuration management, Infrastructure automation, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), working with Terraform, YAML and config automation for pipelines
Implementing effective strategies using high level architecture and cost saving solutions for financial markets
Writing detailed solution documents using Confluence
PI Planning & Sprint Planning using JIRA
Developing, implementing, and continually improving system and network monitoring and alerting capabilities and procedures
Working with vscode and scripting languages e.g. Powershell to test and deploy code
Implementing scalable system solutions as required
Leading EPICS as an Epic Lead and planning stories, tasks etc using Agile Methodologies
Stakeholder and Project Management Experience
Leading a team of engineers to deliver requirements and build cloud solutions for customers
