Currently seeking an IP Engineer for a Telecommunications company based in Manchester, on a fixed term 1 year contract.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and support of Cisco, Juniper and Huawei equipment, undertaking Virtual Backhaul migrations on Local to Metro and Local to Local Circuits. As well as, troubleshooting and configuring the Access Network using technologies such as Layer 2 Switching and Layer 3 Routing. Providing support to the Client NOC and Operational Teams, ensuring timely resolution of network incidents, minimising the impact of any network outages.

Applicants should have a good understanding of the following protocols; OSPF, ISIS, BGP, Spanning Tree, VRRP, L2VPN, L3VPN, QoS, MPLS, PPP, DHCP, BNG, BRAS. This role will involve night shift work on a fortnightly basis.
