Our client, a consultancy, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on a large, complex digital transformation programme for a major Telecommunications customer based in Amsterdam.
The role will include development of Deployment strategies for various architectures; Zero Downtime Deployments, Blue-Green, Canary Releases, etc. Collaborating with peers as a subject matter expert on Cloud, Release Management, Automation, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), IaC, SysOps and DevOps. Being part of an engineering team and delivering microservices architecture. Responsible for configuring, deploying and maintaining Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), designing workflows and APIs on the orchestrator tool, including the coding of the functions and the overall system administration following a DevOps and Agile methodology.
Applicants must have Extensive knowledge of Microservice architecture and AWS, worked on PostgreSQL databases, experience with Containers (Docker and Kubernetes), Strong knowledge in monitoring tools like Grafana and Kibana, experience with source control systems such as Git. As well as experience in Linux (Ubuntu and CentOS/RedHat) and application Servers and webservers (Apache Tomcat, IIS, NginX). Use of modern Atlassian toolsets (eg Wiki, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc) with knowledge of monitoring (ELK). Experience in Scripting language is also required (preferably in Shell or Python) and scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
