Tech Support Lead – IQGeo / Telecoms

Tech Support Lead - IQGeo / Telecoms


Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking an experienced Tech Support Lead to provide technical ownership and team leadership for IQGeo platform deployments in telecom and utility projects. This is a 6-month contract role with a high likelihood of extension.


Role



  • Serve as the go-to expert for the IQGeo platform, including configuration (layers, rules), data models, and integrations

  • Guide and mentor engineers on design, fielding, and software best practices (IQGeo, Katapult)

  • Perform QA/QC on designs (poles, spans, drops), ensuring adherence to client standards and utility regulations, and maintain correction logs

  • Act as the technical bridge between fielding teams, backend engineers, project managers, clients, and IQGeo developers

  • Troubleshoot complex engineering, logic, and data issues, escalating as needed

  • Review and validate OSP designs, manage scope changes, and ensure efficient project delivery

  • Maintain design documentation, QC checklists, and change logs



Must Have - Skills & Experience



  • Deep understanding of GIS, especially IQGeo and related tools (Katapult)

  • Experience in telecom or utility OSP (Outside Plant) design and engineering

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

  • Knowledge of network modernization and high-speed communications technologies

  • Experience ensuring geospatial data accuracy for planning, construction, and operations

  • Experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and preventing recurring errors
